The End for ‘Sarah Palin’s Alaska’ Reality TV Show?

So it looks like Sarah Palin’s reality TV show, Sarah Palin’s Alaska, might well be coming to an end after only one season.

TMZ has reported that TLC network sources have said they would green light a second season of the high rating show. Palin would make millions from a second season but a big consideration is that if she does go ahead with the show, she’d be flagging that she’s not going to make a run for President of the United States in 2012.

On that front, apparently there have been no negotiations with the network so far – total silence from Palin. There has been no word from Palin to her many fans about a second season either. Getting ready to campaign Sarah?

Season one of the show wasn’t without its controversy. In one episode Palin enthusiastically killed a moose with a shotgun, which prompted famous screen and television writer Aaron Sorkin (The Social Network, The West Wing) to exclaim on The Huffington Post, “You weren’t killing that animal for food or shelter or even fashion, you were killing it for fun. You enjoy killing animals.”

In any case, from Sorkin’s point of few, and mine as it happens, it’s good news that Palin may not be shooting a second season of Sarah Palin’s Alaska. The bad news is that it may well be because she is planning to make a tilt for the presidency in 2012.

How good do you think a Palin Administration would be for the path to a more sustainable world?
