Intro of Tesla Model 3 makes electric vehicles the majority of cars sold in Norway

The first full month of Tesla Model 3 deliveries in Norway has moved electric vehicle sales to a new record, and the majority of all car sales. Fifty-eight percent of all new cars sold in Norway in March were fully electric.

Norway is aiming to end fossil fuel-powered vehicle sales by 2025. Exempting battery-powered engines from the taxes imposed on diesel and petrol cars has dramatically shifted Norway’s auto market.
