NASDAQ-listed Fluence Energy has announced that it will deploy the world’s largest battery-based energy storage-as-transmission project, in Germany. The company says the project will improve energy security and support Germany’s energy transition by increasing the efficiency of its existing energy grid infrastructure. The 250 MW battery storage system will be in Kupferzell, a major grid hub. It’s expected to be finished by 2025.
